I had a gig on at the Espy comedy club in St Kilda and on my way there I had a car accident. About two and a half thousand dollars worth of damage, it was clearly my fault, but everyone always says never admit fault at the scene of an accident, so I got out of the car yelling, "Hey cloth eyes, look what you've done to my car", which is about as aggressive as I can get. Once we exchanged details I continued on to the gig.
After the gig I remembered that I'd parked my car in a half hour only bay, so I'm running to get to my car before a parking inspector does, and I tripped over one of those big yellow curbs that the tram travels near, and I broke my ankle. It was market day in St. Kilda so I fell in front of like 400 people and not one person came to help!
Eventually I got back to the Espy only to discover that someone had stolen my bag from backstage and in it was my wallet, phone and credit cards.
The funny thing was trying to tell people about it because no one could believe that they were all separate events. Even when I went to file an accident report the policemans going "so you broke your ankle in the car accident and then the other driver took off with your wallet." And I was saying, no no no they're all separate events, it's just a really bad day ...
To this day I still ask myself, "What did I do to deserve that". And ever since than I've been interested in Murphy's Law ...
Re-enactment photo of me falling at the Espy ...

Okay so it's not a very good one.
I wrote this show with the intention to put Murphy's Law and Murphy's Bi-Laws to the test. To experiment with them and find out exactly how many of them are fact, and how many of them are myth. The show is now a series of live experiments that will convince you one way or the other. By the time you leave this show you will know the truth.
This is a brilliant interactive show now available for corporate functions, regional dates and private functions.
